Infamous tagger Buket is behind bars, serving a four year prison term for a vandalism spree that caused nearly $200,000 in damages.
Earlier this year, a judge laid down the sentence to the 26-year-old graffiti artist (real name: Cyrus Yazdani), after a video posted on YouTube became one of the most viewed clips on the site. In the clip, Buket is seen bombing a freeway overpass in Los Angeles in broad daylight.
For his trouble, he's been ordered to pay $117,196 in restitution, and serve four years in prison.
Today, as he sits behind bars, Buket is telling his story via a new blog, reports Bay Area-based graffiti magazine Clout.
The online journal has been set up for him by friend and documentary filmmaker Daniel Brown, who updates it for him, but he plans to write entries as often as he can. In it, he'll detail his experiences behind bars, as well as his thoughts, among other things.
"I have been a close friend of Cyrus since we were in middle school and I am hoping to get the funding to do a documentary on his story," Brown told Clout magazine. "Anyone that is interested in helping, financially or otherwise, please send me an email at imdannybrown@gmail.com."
So far, Busket posted just one entry on October 27th, which was titled "October 4th, 2009," where he details his living conditions, jail politics, and some of experiences thus far.
