Looks like, the upcoming December 12 fight, where DMX would make his fighting debut, may be canceled, after sources said the promotions company (Thunder Promotions) refused to fix the fight.
According to TMZ, X has a few demands for the the fight -- slated to take place in Alabama, where X would fight an actor named Eric Martinez.
One major stipulation was that the "Event Promoter and Management agree that [DMX] is scheduled to win Boxing Challenge," the contract reportedly read.
Thunder Promotions has reportedly refused to sign the addendum, claiming they never agreed to "fix" anything. As a result, the rapper is threatening to back out, and now, promoters are looking for someone to replace him.
They are also said to be preparing a lawsuit for breach of contract, against X.
DMX's manager, Nakia Walker, told TMZ that the rapper really does want to fight, fixed or not, but she's forcing his hand because "he's a hip hop artist, not a boxer."
Stay tuned as this develops.
