I don’t understand why everybody is so surprised…Kiedis is an old school rapper..the chilis are one of the first bands to do the rap/rock thing…kiedis himself has said that one of his biggest inspirations was Grand Master Flash…listen to songs like “black eyed blonde” or “sex rap”

I can kinda see where he gets that from, cuz Kiedis raps (or sings in a fast-paced style) in a lot of Chili Peppers songs. I could see Lupe doing that funk rock/rap hybrid style in the future.
