Dipset affiliate JR Writer was shot over the weekend in the Bronx, revealing the news via his Twitter page (@ThisisJRWriter).

In a tweet posted on Sunday (October 11), the rapper said he's ok and jusy happy to be alive. "Thank the Lord I'm Alive, they tried to kill ya boy," he wrote.

Details regarding the shooting were unknown at press time.

His brother, Fred Money, was shaken up by the news, and headed to the hospital immediately, where he tweeted updates.

"Smoking a blunt outside da hospital on my #iDontGiveAFuck type sh**," Fred tweeted (@FREDmOnEyy).

"I'm tweeting from the hospital and yu asking bout drops? Yu cnt b serious ma g," he later wrote in response to one of his followers.

JR Writer made a name for himself via Dipset mixtapes, but first made his debut on Juelz Santana's 2003 debut, From Me To U. From there, he's continued to flex his lyrical skills via his own indie series, Writer's Block.
