2009-10-08 - Paranormal movieFan demand for the new horror flick, "Paranormal Activity," is growing. Thrilled by its success thus far and sold-out shows, Paramount is committed to bring the film nationwide ... that is if they fans want it bad enough.

The studio said this week that the film would be released across the nation, in every city, big or small, as soon as they reach 1 million demands via Eventful.com.

If you want it in your city, Paramount asks that you DEMAND IT at Eventful.com/ParanormalActivity.

In addition, one lucky fan will be selected from the list of many demanding the film to receive a VIP screening of "Paranormal Activity" in their hometown with the film's director/writer/producer Oren Peli.

At press time, there was around 798,000 demands.

So far, the movie is available in 12 new markets, including metro area, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Toronto.

College students represented an overwhelmingly large percentage of the film's online demands. In response, the movie is slated to open at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a special thank you to the college audience.
