em has the # 1 album so far this year. And he dropped the hottest verse on forver. We may not hear much about em but jay z is right. em sholud have been at least top 5. even top 10 would be fine. But for someone like 50 to make the list before em is pretty dumb.

Jay-Z was right. MTV was righfully put on blast for excluding Eminem. You cant ignore the best selling rap album of the year, a cameo appearance in a movie with Adam Sandler & Seth Rogan, the wierdest beef in hip-hop EVER (Mariah) and the hottest song on the radio right now. Mixtapes and Youtube vids are cool n' all, but the criteria that they use is definitely suspect. Especially w/ cats like Young Jezzy (whose album was hot, but came out last year) WTF? C'MON SON!!!!

I didn't say Eminem isn't one of the best or didn't deserve recognition, I said he wasn't extreemly HOT this year. Everybody else on the list was all over the radio (not just shade45). Wayne, Drake, Kayne was EVERYWHERE. Ross and 50 have consistently been in the media. Gucci is killin the south. Fab and Raekwon is questionable but then again so is Eminem this year. His album went plat but after 2 weeks the buzz died and he disappeared until the Forever track. I stand behind my comment.

@SimplyEcstasy - He had that verse, the highest selling cd this year, public appearances at award shows, interviews in just about every hip hop magazine, and he's finished recording what will be another platinum selling cd THIS YEAR. Let's not forget that he also has a radio station, record label, and clothing line that are always around whether he is or not. Show some respect.
