 Rapper Method Man, of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, was arrested on Monday (October 5), and charged with felony tax evasion.
Accord to numerous reports, the 38-year-old rapper was picked up with New York police, after failing to pay over $32,000 is personal and state income tax from between 2004 and 2007.
"Taxes are a burden that all citizens share in a civil society, whether you are an 'average Joe' on the street or a high-profile rap artist," Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan told the New York Daily News.
Meth is expected to be arraigned on Staten Island on Monday, and could face up to four years in prison.
It's unknown if the rapper is enduring financial troubles, or if he simply forgot to pay, like he said back in March.
Method told the New York Daily News that his marijuana habit makes him forget things, after his Lincoln Navigator was seized for non-payment.
"Myself, I'm a pothead," he said in March. "It's no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, 'We need this money.' They started sending them in 2002. ... Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this sh** because I don't think like that!"
