50 Cent is known for pulling off major publicity stunts to keep his name in people's mouths, most notably his planned out record sales battle with Kanye West during the release of Curtis in 2007. On Monday (September 28), the New York rapper pulled his latest stunt.
In a post that showed up on this website, ThisIs50.com, it was reported that he'd been hospitalized.
In the "BREAKING NEWS" post, it was reported that 50 collapsed at his Manhattan offices after, get this, he listened to Fat Joe's upcoming album, J.O.S.E. 2.
The fake report continued saying an ambulance was called, and when it arrived, he had regained consciousness, but was still rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 p.m., as he suffered from blurred vision and a severe migraine.
It continued saying doctors' diagnosis concluded that he suffered "some damage to his auditory cortex" -- the "region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound."
The story was followed by a download link to Fat Joe's full album before it's release with the message: "THIS SUCKS!!! DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK."
In a follow-up post, a video clip was posted of a crying 50 Cent, telling his son: "It was Fat Joe's record. I listened to it. It hurt me."
