New Orleans rapper Curren$y recently revealed that he's inked a deal with Amalgam Digital to release two new projects.
Following the success of his This Ain't No Mixtape, the former member of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment will drop Jet Files first, as a prelude to his forthcoming album, the Grand Scheme of Things.
Jet Files is scheduled for a digital-only release on October 6th, exclusively on AmalgamDigital.com, while his full album will drop both online and in retail stores.
Additionally, two bonus tracks will be available in digital format on AmalgamDigital.com when the album is purchased.
"Ima smoke a joint for Amalgam Digital / I already had the plain, they fit it with the missiles though," said Curren$y.
As of late, the rapper has been touring and performing. Most recently at the DunkXchange this past year, as well as a packed house at South By Southwest in Texas.
With two new releases on the horizon, Curren$y hopes to continue building his resume and fanbase.
Back in late 2007, the rapper left Lil Weezy's label. At the time, he said that he tried to make the relationship work, but couldn't continue. However, he didn't ellaborate on his departure.
"I officially declare my independence on this 16th day of December 2007... I AM NOT YOUNG MONEY... regardless of what u may hear in da streets, read on the web or hear on the radio. I AM NOT YOUNG MONEY," Curren$y wrote on his blog.
