Rock band, Blink-182, reportedly pledged $100,000 to the burn centers who treated their drummer Travis Barker, following his near-fatal plane crash in September 2008.
Acccording to the San Francisco Chronicle, Barker plans to donate the proceeds from Blink's Phoenix show on Saturday (September 26) to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Georgia and the Grossman Burn Center in California for helping him recover from second- and third-degree burns.
Via an update on his Twitter page (@trvsbrkr), Barker had a short comment about how much the doctors' work meant to him.
"Not a day goes by I don't remember how they saved my life," he wrote.
In a statement, the band said the donation is "being made in recognition of their tremendous care and aid of Travis Barker through his recovery from the 2008 plane crash."
The popular drummer/producer is the only remaining survivor of last year's plane crash in South Carolina, which took the lives of Barker's close friends Chris Baker and Charles Still, as well as two pilots.
His pal DJ AM also survived the tragedy, but died last month of a suspected drug overdose.
Blink 182 is currently on the road, and will be through October. For dates, visit Blink182.com.
