Jay-Z Inscribes Book For Bill O'Reilly
By Miles Bennett ♦ Published 09/15/2009

2009-09-15 - Jay-Z and Bill O'ReillyRight Wing talk-show host Bill O'Reilly received a surprising gift recently ... from Jay-Z. Despite dissing his Blueprint 3 track, "Off That," the rapper bless Bill with an autograph on his book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity.

The inscription in the book read: "Peace Bill, JZ. Off That."

After guest commentator Glenn Beck shows O'Reilly the book, the pair try to figure out what Jay meant by signing "Off That."

Obviously, they didn't realize it was a reference to the same song O'Reilly dissed just last month, in which Jay spits: "This ain't black verse white, my n**** we off that / Please tell Bill O'Reilly to fall back / Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls / This is 2010 not 1864."

Then O'Reilly and Beck began to question Jay's motives behind his recent 9/11 benefit concert at Madison Square Garden, saying he has no business throwing a benefit after dropping "racial raps."

"I freely admit I have no idea what they're saying," joked O'Reilly. "What are we supposed to think of this guy who does this racial rap at the inauguration, and then holds a benefit concert? Is he a good guy or what?"

Then, they further discussed their views on race in America in 2009. "I'm tired of the race thing, I dont think the race thing works anymore. There are racists..." began Beck.

"It works in the hip hop community," O'Reilly offered,

"Yeah, whatever," Beck scoffed.

Limbaugh also responded to the song shortly after it leaked to the internet, saying that Jay-Z's namedrop in the song means he's "made it."

As far as I know, I have never been mentioned in a rap song by anybody. It means I've made it -- I'm now on a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay-Z."

Well, contrary to what Jay said, "black verses white" is still around. While I agree HipHop culture has brought the masses closer together, as PEOPLE we still have a long way to go. Racism is still in effect.

Racism is still alive and well, but it's important not to forget that the black community is just as afflicted with the disease as the white community is.
