2009-09-07 - Lady GaGa - Beats By DreFollowing a successful collaboration between Monster Cable and superproducer Dr. Dre for the development of the popular Beats By Dr. Dre headphones, the two companies has announced their latest partnership -- one with pop star Lady GaGa for her own pair of branded headphones.

GaGa, Dre and Monster have formed a partnership for the release of the Heartbeats, a jewel-like, tangle-free pair of headphones that the singer calls a celebration of "the art and lifestyle of music".

"In the deepest hour of the night, I confess to myself three things: I would die if I was forbidden to write, forbidden to love, or forbidden to fashion," GaGa said in a statement about the product. "Heartbeats embody the trinity of my human being, with one additional vow: that sound matters. Wear Heartbeats, love each other, and celebrate the art and lifestyle of music."

The triangular-shaped headphones will retail from $99 toand $149, and will be in three colors: white, black, and red. They are slated to hit stores in October.

In addition, Dr. Dre announced the upcoming release of an entry level version of the original Beats By Dr. Dre headphones called the Beats Solo.

"For Beats Solo, Dre and I worked along with Monster to create the best sound possible in light, comfortable but powerful headphones," Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, said in a statement.

The new headphones feature "ControlTalk," an advanced on-cable feature that provides users with full control of their listening experience when using their 3GS iPhones, iPods, or portable music devices. The special Monster ControlTalk headphone cable features an integrated high grade microphone and answer button and allows  users to access their music and answer phone calls without having to reach into their pocketbook, backpack or pocket.

The Beats Solo will cost between $179 and $219, and will be available in November.
