Despite a widely circulated report from UK tabloid, The Sun, UFC superstar Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has not been cast as B.A. Baracuz in the upcoming big screen adaptation of "The A-Team."
According to MTV's Movies Blog, the MMA fighter's publicist shut down the reports saying, quote: "it wasn't true."
Jackson, however, is said to be in the running for the role, depicted by none other than Mr. T in the 80s.
Others up for the role include rapper The Game, and there was talk that Common was also being considered.
20 Century Fox has enlisted Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) as the film's director. However, at press time, it was unknown when filming was slated to begin.
MTV says the film is slated for release in June 2010.
