The release of 50 Cent's next album, Before I Self Destruct, has been pushed back ... again. It's been moved from September to the first week of November, 50 said.
In a recent interview, posted via ThisIs50.com, the G-Unit boss explained the album's constant delays.
"I had the time make it and remake it," Fif' said. "I didn't have that [kind of time] on my other projects. I was limited, just because the system was in a state of confusion with things changing. The music business itself changed. It was periods of time I felt I was ready and it wasn't a possibility for me to release the record at that point. Then the Eminem train came running down the track — I had to get out of the way to let Eminem's record come out. Because he had been off for two years, it made sense for me to let him come out first. My new album, it should be out early November. The first week of November."
In addition to prepping B.I.S.D., the rapper hinted at another project coming in the future. However, he was brief about details.
"I'm working on a project that's so far away from what they've heard from in the past, they'll be surprised to hear what creatively I came up with."
While fans await the album release, fans can get their does of 50 via performances. He will be performing at Six Flags Great Adventures in New Jersey on Saturday (August 29), where several locals from his neighborhood of Southside Jamaica Queens will be in attendence thanks to the rapper. He has hired 30 buses to transport them to the amusement park.
The following day, 50 Cent will be in Queens for "40 Day," a huge gathering of the neighborhood with food and music. And then, on October 3, he'll be at Governor's Island in New York Harbor for the This Is 50 Festival, which will feature himself, Wale, Kid Cudi and Mike Posner.
