Reps from Ice Cube's Cube Vision, Fontana Distribution, Rhino Entertainment and the Alan Ett Creative Group were among those who received certificates of appreciation from their interns at the exclusive celebration.

During the ceremony, Cube Vision's Nancy Leiviska said there are two types of interns she has worked with. "They either absorb the knowledge or they reflect it," she said as she turned to address her McNally Smith intern Josiah Kosier. "Josiah does both."

The McNally Smith College of Music is one of the top music colleges in the L.A. area, where students get "unique hands-on curriculum that immerses you in today's music technology, nurtures your vision, and develops your talents," according to their website.

At the college you can study music business, music composition & songwriting, audio engineering, music production and live sound engineering, or popular music performance with your instrument of choice. Also, everything from hip-hop to country and metal are a part of the courses.

The McNally Smith College first held its Summer Wrap party at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood in 2007 for its five interns. Today, there are 39 McNally Smith College of Music interns working at entertainment companies in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit and Minneapolis.

On Monday (August 3), the school kicked off its Wrap Week with a private dinner at the posh Risotto restaurant in Studio City, Calif. The keynote speaker was Alan Ett, who has composed music for dozens of television shows, including "Unsolved Mysteries," "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels" and "The Girls Next Door."

"I've taught at Berklee [College of Music] and did Master's classes all over the world and have never seen a program as focused as what Debbie and Charley have happening here," said Ett, President/CEO of the Alan Ett Creative Group. "It's quite extraordinary."

Ett's talk focused on ways to think outside the box in order to succeed in the modern music industry, as well as the larger entertainment industry. He saluted McNally Smith's ability to help students learn how to make a living as a professional in the marketplace.
