In the heat of the NBA Finals, game developer 2K Sports announced the cover athlete of their upcoming NBA 2K10 basketball title.
This is the game series' 10th anniversary, and the company has revealed recently that they will be released a bundled special edition version of the game, dubbed their "Anniversary Edition," which is full of goodies.
According to GameInformer.com, The Anniversary Edition is limited to just 30,000 copies, each "individually numbered for authenticity." Ten of these copies will include a fine-art print of Kobe Bryant, autographed by the 2009 NBA Finals MVP.
Here's the rundown of what each bundle will include:
- NBA 2K10 game locker, to store your game library in
- 3" Kobe Bryant figurine designed by McFarlane Toys
- 16" x 36" Kobe Bryant poster
- Commemorative NBA 2K 10th Anniversary DVD, taking a look at 10 years of NBA 2K games
- Access to the Gold Room, the NBA 2K10 VIP online lobby
A little explanation about the Gold Room. It's an exclusive online lobby where celebrities and other VIP members go when they want to play NBA 2K10, in order to be shielded from the usual online gaming drama. But if you are the usual online gaming drama, an Anniversary Edition pre-order will get you in.
NBA 2K10 is slated to hit all major consoles this fall.
