Are they on or off? That's the question internet bloggers and gossip hounds are looking for ... regarding Kanye West's relationship with model Amber Rose.

Just last week, it was reported that the couple had officially split with the New York Post confirming rumors via a statement from a West spokesperson.

However, the pair were spotted just a day before the report at an American Apparel location in New York buying clothing together. And just this week, they were spotted in Chicago.

TMZ spies caught Kanye and Amber having a little breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Chicago Thursday morning (June 18), confusing everybody on their status once again.

Spies told the site that "two were extremely nice to staff and patrons during the meal, but they weren't seen doing 'anything couply' during the meal."
