Hip-Hop's Biggest Stars & Vets Hit The 30+ Club
Published 06/05/2009, by Allen Starbury

As the hip-hop inches closer to nearly 40 years since being introduced in the Bronx in New York City in the 1970s, the genre has grown tremendously. That means some of today's biggest artists have aged along with it. Some of the game's pioneers have maintained their presence over the years, continuing to grow their brand, while some haven't.

Either way, it shows how much hip-hop has grown and will continue to grow in the coming years.

NO WONDER RAEKWON TALKIN ‘BOUT GETTING THAT MONEY NOW, HE’S ON THA WAY OUT….

Yo Vengeance, I hope you aren’t an artist and I hope you aren’t getting any older. If you found the fountain of youth, let me know. All other genres of music have older acts, why not Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is growing up player, respect it, embrace it and appreciate it! The problem with Hip-Hop is kats like you not learning from the legends.

Only in Hip Hop does your age matter not R&B,Jazz Or Rock what does that say?now show the same list of the 20 year old artist that shit would be disgusting, whose in their 20’s that is a legend or has a classic album nobody.Jay,Snoop,Nas Jada made classics in their early 20’s,Wayne & TI can’t be the only hope the rest of these dudes suck ass ie Young Joc,Soulja Boy & fuck it everybody from this era.

Vengeance IS MINE!!!!!!!! - June 7, 2009 at 2:30 pm

wait a minute!!!!

come on let’s be realistic “Who is banging ICE-T???? no disrespect i know dude is a legend but make room don’t retire but put some new peeps hip on game, he should be as big as jay-z a leader…

jay-z is a goddamn genious he has helped take hip hop this far but we need him as a leader not just rappin ’bout pimpin and hustlin…

and as leaders they should lead leaving an example for younger cats coming up in tha game….

ignorance is bliss, I don’t never want to be as blissful as some of yous. Age is beautiful especailly if you are from a rough background and make it out of it. Thank God for Mercy.

as long as these rappers could still spit fire and make hit records they could stay around as long they want, because god knows all these other bum ass bubble gum/auto-tune/tight jean wearing ass rappers are not doing it.
