Kimora Lee Simmons and actor Djimon Hounsou welcomed a baby boy into the world over the weekend, and used her Twitter page to make the announcement.

Simmons revealed the news on Saturday (May 30) via Twitter, posting a pic of her in the delivery room, as she went into labor.

"It's time!! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!!," she tweeted,followed shortly after by, "Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It's like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS."

Sixteen hours later, she and Hounsou became proud parents of a new son. Details, including a name, are still unknown.

The 34-year-old Simmons has two daughters with 51-year-old hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, whom she divorced in 2008 after seven years of marriage.

She and Hounsou married in March 2009 in African. However, shortly after the ceremony took place, it was revealed that it may not be legally binding. They've been dating since March 2007.

It's the Hounsou's first child.
