Nas To Kelis: 'Pay Your Own Way'

2009-05-20 - Nas and Kelis It's gettin' ugly ... in here, following initial reports of divorce filing between Nas and his soon-to-be-ex-wifey Kelis.

According to TMZ, the superstar rapper does not want to pay Kelis anything ... no spousal support ... nothing.

Kelis officially led to the breakdown of the relationship, Kelis cited "irreconcilable differences" in legal filings.

Nas is firing back. TMZ says that he's filed a legal response, asking the judge to deny her request for spousal support she's seeking, and even asks that she pay her own lawyer's fees.

Both parties, however, want joint custody of their unborn child.

Kelis is gonna make this real ugly, and Nas ain’t helping. This whole divorce will kill both of their careers.

I don’ know about Nas career. He’s pretty much cemented as a veteran. I do know this though, one or both of them has mental problems for Nas to file a notion like that!

Men get spousal support as well as women. Look at Kevin Federline. The fact of the matter is by law they both have rights to whatever they gained together during their marriage. It may not always be right but its the law. We are on the outside looking in and really dont know the deal except for what the media tell us which may not always be totally truthful.

Nas married her knowing she didn’t have as much as he has so now he got to pay like he weigh. That’s what happens when you got $ and you marry someone 4 their looks! He minus well give it up he gonna pay child support anyway!
