Rapper Fat Joe made his way to Harlem on Friday (April 17) to film the video for his new single, "Hey Joe," off his forthcoming J.O.S.E. 2 album, until the NYPD came and shut things down because of the pandemonium.
Once Joey Crack made his arrival in the Washington Projects in Spanish Harlem, locals flocked to catch a glimpse of the rap star, as well as rep for their projects, which of course, put the NYPD on full alert.
Pistol Pete, of Joe's K.A.R. crew, also came through to show his support for Joe's new song, make a cameo, and help direct the massive crowd that started to form around Joe.
Once cameras began rolling, there were more than enough mean mugs to match the burgundy brick background that the director was trying to capture. 20 minutes into the shooting, however, police made the camera crew pack up their equipment and shut it down completely.
In the process, the boys in blue proceeded to randomly search some of the extras in the video. One warrant and three bags of weed later, Joe got back into his luxury vehicle and rolled off, leaving a lot of work still undone.
At press time, it was unclear if Joe got the footage he needed in Harlem, or if the filming needed to be rescheduled.
J.O.S.E. 2 is slated to hit stores May 19.
