In addition to landing a three-book deal for her memoirs, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has a new gig as well -- sports blogger.
According to AOL's BlackVoices, the 54-year-old politician has begun blogging as a sport commentator for The Daily Beast, her first being her experience with Tiger Woods.
During the Masters Tourney last week, Tiger didn't have his best day of his golfing career, ending up in the woods at one point and later hitting a tree. Condi's blogged about the entire day of bad luck for Tiger.
"Golf is not supposed to be 'one on one,'" Rice wrote.
"You are told to 'play the course. Play your game.' Yet when Tiger is on the course and starts one of his surges, it feels like Magic Johnson or Jerry Rice one on one with an opponent. And we've all come to expect the impossible. When Tiger's ball hit that tree at 18, I felt like Joe Montana had just thrown a pick in a two-minute drive in the Super Bowl. But you know that Tiger will be there to do it right the next time," she continued.
The blog post was Rice's first for The Daily Beast, and she will continue to contribute, regularly, as a sports commentator, reports BV.
She is also a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, and a political science professor at Stanford University.
