After a little bit of a hiatus, musically, the "People's Champ" Paul Wall is finally gearing up for the release of his third album, Fast Life, which is due in May.
The forthcoming album features production from the likes of beatmakers like Travis Barker and Amadeus, while guests include Baby Bash, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Too Short, and his Expensive Taste group.
In addition to getting "bizzy" with fun party records and tales of life in the fast lane, the Houston grill man brings a little in-depth material as well. Album highlights include "Look At Me," where Paul delves deep into his rocky rise to the top, and "Daddy Wasn't Home" where he details his absentee father's drug addiction and his family's hardships.
While some may be wondering what Paul has been doing since 2007's Get Money, Stay True, he's been at work, like always. In addition to a long trek on the road with Tech N9ne for their Fire & Ice Tour, the rapper has also been promoting his (and Travis Barker's) Expensive Taste clothing line, most recently at the 2009 fashion trade Magic in Las Vegas.
He's also recently relocated his Houston jewelry store to the upscale Galleria mall in Houston), while he continues his work with the USO, training with his major league baseball friends, and being a husband and father.
Right now, he's putting the finishing touches on the video for "Bizzy Body," one of the first tracks off Fast Life which he shot recently in Houston with Trill Entertainment's Webbie.
Fast Life is due in stores May 12.
In addition to music, Paul and his wife Crystal will be featured on an upcoming E! special called "Rapper Wives: The E! True Hollywood Story," scheduled to premiere on April 29.
