"Star Wars" creator George Lucas recently announced the actors cast in an upcoming World War II saga called "Red Tails." You just may know a few of these actors.
Among the starring cast include Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard, while musicians such as Ne-Yo and Method Man have also been tapped for roles.
The Lucasfilm project is fictional tale based on the Tuskegee Airmen, according to the Associated Press. For those unfamiliar with the Tuskegee Airmen, they were a combat unit made up of black pilots dealing with racial prejudice along with the pressures of war.
Lucas himself will serve as the film's executive producer, while Anthony Hemingway -- whose resume includes episodes of "The Wire" and "Battlestar Galactica" -- will make his feature directorial debut with "Red Tails."
"We're working on techniques that will give us the first true look at the aerial dogfighting of the era," Lucas said in a statement.
Shooting for the film will begin soon in Europe.
Further details were unknown at press time.
