Producer Timbaland is having troubles with his longtime label Blackground Records, claiming they've tried to sabotage his career.

According to a report by TMZ, the 38-year-old super producer (real name: Timothy Zachery Mosley) claims the label didn't bat an eye when he decided to move from the artist category, where he was signed as a solo artist, to become a producer. But, once his profile as a producer skyrocketed, they become jealous.

In fact, they thought he was too successful, and that's when jealously and hostility for him grew.

The site reports that Timbo filed a lawsuit against Blackground this week, claiming the record label went on a "search-and-destroy campaign," contacting several labels throughout the industry to give them multiple reasons why they shouldn't work with, or hire him to produce tracks.

Additionally, he claims the label still owes him s substantial amount of money.

So, he is suing to break free from his contract, as well as seeking unspecified damages.
