Detroit rappers Black Milk and eLZhi have announced a month-long, 14-venue tour across Europe later this month in support of Black Milk's latest solo album TRONIC in stores now.
eLZhi, member of the Detroit rap group Slum Village, released his Black Milk produced solo album, The Preface on Fat Beats Records in August. Both albums were among the most critically acclaimed of 2008.
The tour is the pair's second European tour in the last five months, having toured there last fall in promotion of Black Milk and Bishop Lamont's album Caltroit, which featured Black Milk, Bishop Lamont, eLZhi, Guilty Simpson, and Sean Price.
"It is always good to go to Europe because there is so much energy in the crowd and so much love over there," said Black Milk of performing overseas.
Over the years, Black Milk has quickly risen to the top of the underground hip-hop scene. His solo album, Popular Demand, became his coming out party, and he's since produced and appeared on tracks for artists such as GZA, Busta Rhymes, Pharoahe Monch, Kidz In The Hall, Kardinal Offishall, Guilty Simpson, and Strange Fruit Project, among others.
Now, with the success of TRONIC and eLZhi's The Preface, this second European tour promises to be even bigger than the first.
