 730 Dips affiliate King Tut committed suicide Tuesday night (March 17), after a standoff with police on a New York highway.
According to reports, the rapper (real name: Darnell Brittingham) had been on the run after police suspected him of stabbing a woman 27 times at her New Jersey apartment last month.
The stabbing reportedly took place just hours after King Tut was release from jail for a drug arrest.
The Journal News reports that police found out that Tut affiliate had been hiding out at a local motel. They tailed Tut as he left the motel in a taxi with an unidentified woman.
When police finally pulled over the taxi, the rapper shot himself in the head while the driver and the female exited the cab.
King Tut is a member of the 730 Dips, Freekey Zekey's crew which branched off of The Diplomats.
