Kanye West has reportedly been charged with three misdemeanors, in connection with his altercation with the paparazzi last year at the LAX Airport.
According to TMZ, the rapper was hit with charges of vandalism, battery, and grand theft, while his manager Don Crowley was given the same charges, but two counts of each.
If you don't remember, in September 2008 West and his manager got into an altercation with members of the paparazzi who were videotaping and photographing him while the rapper was trying to check in for a flight.
West became angry with a photographer, which he then confronted, grabbed an accessory of his camera, and smashed it on the floor. While the still photographer screamed for airport police, a TMZ cameraman was videotaping the entire incident.
Crowley walked up to him, telling him to hand it over. When he didn't comply, he grabbed it from him, and smashed it on the ground as well.
Following the confrontation, West tried to leave to board his flight, but was stopped by airport police, who questioned all parties.
When cops asked if they had videotaped the rapper, West reportedly lunged toward the cameraman yelling "Give me the f***ing videotape."
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned on April 14.
Kanye could face up to 2 1/2 years in jail if convicted on all counts. Crowley could get five years.
