An after-party for 8Ball & MJG in Milwaukee got a little out of control last Saturday (March 14), resulting in arrests and injuries.
According to a report by local news station WTMJ-TV, the Memphis rap duo performed at a club called 618 Live late Friday, which went down without incident.
After the show, just blocks away at the city's Hilton hotel, several concertgoers attended a VIP after-party, which both rappers reportedly attended, in the hotel's presidential suite.
Hotel security called police at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and told a dispatcher that around 40 people had packed into a guest suite and had refused to leave.
When police arrived, they found a room full of a lot of alcohol, loud music and a rowdy crowd, which they broke up. During the wild party, a group of people were caught on a hotel security camera beating on another 35-year-old man, who was later treated at a nearby hospital.
He told investigators he paid $25 for a VIP pass to the party and later got struck in the head intervening in a fight.
According to police, 36-year-old rapper Lil Tweezy -- had booked the 24th floor hotel room where they party was held -- was arrested for "giving false and incomplete information to police."
He was later released without charges. Police said they are seeking the suspects responsible for beating the victim.
At press time, it was unknown if rappers 8Ball and MJG on hand when police arrived, and/or how long they were actually present.
