 Former NBA star Charles Barkley turned himself into police on Saturday (March 7) to begin serving a three-day sentence for a DUI charge, stemming from a New Year's Eve arrest.
According to the Associated Press, the basketball commentator reported to Phoenix's Tent City Saturday morning, and he's already decked out in official jail gear.
TMZ reports that he's wearing a black and white striped jumpsuit, with the jail's famous pink boxer shorts.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that Barkley has been placed in a private tent for his own safety, but has already been conversing with other inmates.
The former Phoenix Suns star was arrested on December 31st, after he ran a stop sign at around 1:30 a.m. Once pulled over, the officer smelled alcohol, and conducted a field sobriety test, which Sir Charles reportedly failed. However, he refused a breathalyzer, but was later given a blood test, said reports.
He's also been allowed to speak in a press conference with cameras later today a well.
