Despite vowing to become a pastor once he served his 90-sentence for multiple charges last month, DMX has to face new charges after he reportedly threw a food tray at a Maricopa County detention officer.
According to The Arizona Republic, X (real name: Earl Simmons) will now face new charges. He has been re-booked on suspicion of aggravated assault charge, thanks to the rapper losing his cool on Sunday (February 22) when he threw his food tray at an officer who accused the rapper of stealing a meal.
"This inmate has a serious anger management issue and shouldn't be allowed out of jail or prison until he has it under control," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told AZfamily.com.
The officer was not injured as a result of the incident.
Since being incarcerated, it's already DMX's second incident with a corrections officer. Earlier this month, he refused to report for a work assignment and didn't respond to a call for medications later in the day.
Then, when he didn't receive his medication later, he got into a yelling match with a supervisor who tried to intervene. The stunt got him thrown in solitary confinement, and put on a strict "bread and water" diet as punishment.
As a part of his plea deal, DMX was sentenced to 90 days in jail and at least 18 months' supervised probation. The new charge could put X in violation, which could land him in prison for eight years.
