Kanye West's ego is at its peak these days. With all the success he's had over the last few years, it seems justified. But is 'Ye a little too egotistical?
In an interview conducted during Details magazine's cover shoot, the rapper/producer expressed the overwhelming love he has ... well, for himself.
"I have the right to talk in the third person because I'm me as a person, but also I'm a walking brand," Kanye explained. "So, like if I talk about myself, it might come off narcissistic and self-absorbed, which I guess it is, a lot of icons and superstars are. But, if I work for like Nike and I was the president of Nike, and I talked about Nike all the time, that makes sense because you into it."
West is convinced that his life is so good, living anyone else's would be impossible for him. In fact, it's the "best life you could live," according to him.
"I'm Kanye West, why would I want to live somebody else's life? I'm me. It's kinda like the best life you could live," he said with a smile. "My quality of life, it's buzzing at a 10."
Later in the interview, Kanye was asked if his life was to ever make it to theaters, who would be the ideal person to play him in the film? You guessed it, himself.
"I would definitely play myself because I'm too much of a control freak. I'd be like 'You're just not getting it right. It didn't happen like that,' " the rapper explained.
Even on the web, Kanye is the man in his own mind. When he's browsing the internet, he's got one website he reads the most. Can you guess what site? Yes .... of course, his own.
Also in the cover story, what he's best known for in fashion, and why his style is always changing.
According to 'Ye, he switches up his styles because, he's "constantly getting bored and just updating. The mirror bores me sometimes, I need to excite it a bit."
