After an amazing performance of "Swagger Like Us" last weekend at the Grammys, M.I.A. came home and says her early stage labor kicked in.

In a blog on her official MySpace profile, the rapper revealed that she gave birth to a brand new baby boy on Wednesday (February 11).

"Sunday nite I came home from the still in the mood to party, I coulda easily gone out but I went home instead, lucky i did!! Coz my early stage labour kicked in around 2 a.m.," the post began.

"My baby was born Wednesday, he is healthy, fine, beautiful and the most amazing thing ever on this planet, of course I'm his mum!!!

The excited new mommy then joked that she and her baby were planning a tour for next year, making mixtapes, and "figuring out a way to break out of the hospital."

The father is her fiancé, musician Benjamin Bronfman.

At press time, the baby's name was unknown.
