Singer Rihanna was scheduled to perform at a concert in Malaysia this week. However, organizers said Tuesday (February 10) that the performance has been postponed, following reports that her boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted her over the weekend.

The show will be rescheduled to an unspecified date.

Additionally, the 20-year-old singer (real name: Robyn Rihanna Fenty) is cooperating with police, regarding a domestic violence case investigators are building against Brown, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Police sources told the paper that Rihanna was left with "bruises and a scratch on her face," following an early morning altercation with Brown early Sunday morning (February 8) after leaving a pre-Grammy party. She was later treated at a "major medical facility."

Further details regarding the incident are currently unknown.

Brown, 19, turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department later that same day, and was charged with making criminal threats, and remains under investigation for felony charges of domestic violence.

He is free on $50,000 bail.

The couple reportedly got into an argument while driving a rented Lamborghini around Los Angeles' Hancock Park. It escalated, and became violent. Police were called, and Brown fled the scene before they arrived.

Following the incident, makers of Doublemint gum suspended an endorsement deal, where Brown's song appeared in commercials for the gum.
