Country singer Taylor Swift still continues to dominate the charts, holding down the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for the eighth week in a row.
However, Beyonce is staying on her heels, holding steady at no. 2. with 50,900 discs moved of I Am... Sasha Fierce. The album is nearing the 1.7 million mark.
In at no. 4 is Kanye West's 808's and Heartbreak, selling 39,000 copies this week. After nine weeks, the auto-tune album is just over 1.2 million sold.
Keyshia Cole's new album, A Different Me, stepped up three spots to no. 6 this week, selling 31,000 copies; Britney Spears' Circus landed at no. 7 with 31,000; and Jamie Foxx's Intuition came in at no. 8 with 30,000 sold.
Sliding down to no. 9 this week is the original soundtrack to the Biggie biopic "Notorious." The soundtrack sold 29,000, putting its two-week total at 72,000.
The highest debut this week comes at no. 10. It's Mariah Carey's Ballads compilation, selling 29,000 copies. According to Billboard.com, it's the singer's fourth best-of set that has charted, following #1's (no. 4 in 1998), Greatest Hits (no. 52 in 2001) and The Remixes (no. 26 in 2003).
Later down the list, we have Akon's Freedom at no. 17 with 21,500 sold, as his album nears gold; and you have T.I.'s Paper Trail sliding down one notch to no. 18 with 20,900 units scanned -- putting his album at over 1.6 million.
According to Billboard.com, sales are up 9.1% compared to the same total last week and off by 12% compared to the same week in 2008.
