The Joe Budden/Saigon beef has had the internet buzzing for weeks, after both artists starting throwing diss tracks each other's ways. However, last week, news surfaced that the beef had come to an end.
According to a post by Just Blaze, via his official Twitter page, the two rappers had spoken -- over the phone -- and ironed out their differences. While it looked as if the problem had been resolved, Sai is stating otherwise.
The rapper spoke with XXLMag.com shortly after the news surfaced, explaining that Just's posts may have been an action taken to try to calm the tension.
"I don't know where that came from," Saigon explained. "For a while, you know, Just been trying to squash that sh** 'cause he understands what it can turn in to. He just doesn't wanna see it go past -- you know just being around me and a lot of my people -- and he doesn't wanna see it go anywhere other than wax. And he knows that's very, very, very likely gonna happen."
Not only is the beef not over, Saigon says he's itching to see if Buddens is man enough to do something if they bump heads.
"We wanna see what Joey's gonna do," he added, "cause he claims he's gonna go there and do something. He's gonna put his foot in my ass or whatever, so I don't know where this phone sh** came from."
While Saigon doesn't think the rap beef is over, Joe Budden does. In a recent interview on Sirius Satellite's Shade 45 station, he spoke his peace.
"It's over," Joey said. "Joe Budden fans know me. If a n**** diss me and I don't respond immediately, it's over. Something happened, and it's over."
When asked to elaborate on why Saigon is still pushing the beef, Joe replied, "He can stick to his story, and I'll stick to mine. That sh**'s over with."
The latest diss track between the two is Saigon's "Pushin' Buddens."
