The mother of New York Knicks' center Eddy Curry's children was found murdered Saturday (January 24) in her Chicago apartment.

According to NBC Chicago, 24-year-old Nova Henry and her infant daughter Ava were fatally shot at around 6 p.m. So far, police are searching for a "known acquaintance" of Henry's in connection with the murder.

Despite the two deaths, Curry's 3-year-old son was found unharmed at the scene. The bodies were found in the apartment later Saturday evening.

While family members have yet to comment on the tragic deaths, Henry's uncle say they believe they know who the gunman is.

"She had a stalker boyfriend," he told WMAQ in Chicago. "And she had a restraining order against him and she was trying to avoid all this."

Eddy Curry was described as "distraught" upon hearing the news, a source told NBC.

At press time, no one had been arrested in the slayings. However, police said they were the result of a domestic dispute, but refused to elaborate.
