It's the first month of 2009. We know it's a recession, but no matter what, people are still gonna make sure they are fly. Here's a list of new products we picked to feature in this month's edition of our shopping guide. Check it out.

Hellz Bellz has been around 2005. According to the company, they are influenced by "all things subversive; from the gritty streets of New York to the sexploitation flicks of the 1960s and 1970s." From edgy to more chique, they've got a selection to choose from -- including tops, jackets, denim, and accessories.

After months of rumors about its release date and possible features, Sony Ericsson has introduced its new flagship phone, the Xperia X1. Although the bill that comes along with it is a tough pill to swallow, this beauty is worth every penny. The Xperia X1 has a distinctive arc shape and metal body and features a 3", 800 x 480 touch screen display. A full QWERTY keyboard slides out for fast messaging and, like the BlackBerry, push email is supported. It offers a unique display with its nine-panel interface, which allows you to access the web, multimedia entertainment and applications with the touch of a finger. You can choose which panels you want, then customize each to suit your purposes. The X1 operates on Windows Mobile 6.1 and supports both Internet Explorer Mobile and Opera 9.5 It also features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, photo light and video capture, and has a GPS for location based needs. Who said anything about the iPhone...?

Kashi Kicks, a street fashion brand created by designer Alan Kashi, just introduced two new sneaker models: the Mobile Player Generation 2 and the Emoticon. The brand is known for their kicks that shine, and once again Alan and his team hold up their reputation with the introduction of the new footwear. The Mobile Player Generation 2, which is styled a lot like a running shoe, features velcro straps and is available in four colors: black, brown, gray, and white. Kashi Kicks is also producing four styles of the highly decorated, detailed, over-the-top Emoticon shoes, which will be available at Lady Footlocker soon.
