50 Cent has conquered almost everything he can conquer in the music world, so he's set his sights on another field of the entertainment biz -- movies.

The rapper-actor showed up at this year's Sundance Film Festival in Utah, where he unveiled plans for Cheetah Vision, his very own film production company.

Reuters got a chance to speak to Fiddy about the venture, asking if he has any concerns about starting new businesses during the current global recession.

"I don't think it will affect me as much as it will the other people that are out there because I'm not afraid to finance some of these things myself if I have to," the rapper said.

50 is right. According to Forbes, he raked in an estimated $150 million in earning from June 2007 to June 2008, so financing projects doesn't seem to be a problem.

So far, his Cheetah Vision company has bought eight scripts. One of the first will be a film called "The Dance," starring himself and Nicolas Cage.

"[The script] was previously passed around a little bit, but both me and Nicolas Cage had an interest in the film, so it will still happen," 50 told Reuters "He plays the founder of a boxing program, and I play a fighter who goes to state prison."

The boxing film is just the tip of the ice berg though. Fiddy said that each of the films he bought rights to so far are of all different types.

His first debut as a director is gonna be his feature film, "Before I Self Destruct," which will come free with his upcoming album of the same name.

It tells the tale of an inner city youth whose mother is shot to death, so he takes up a life of crime in order to support his younger brother. 50 has the starring role.
