It's another day, and another day of beef in hip-hop. If you keep up on the hip-hop beefs, you know Joe Budden and Saigon aren't exactly best pals. The two had throw words each other's way since the summer, when Saigon took offense to a line Budden sent his way in a freestyle.
While Budden later said he didn't mean anything by the line, Saigon still wasn't feeling it.
In a vlog filmed before the New Year, via WorldStarHipHop, a pumped up Saigon, in the gym, said he'd give Joey a beating if he ever catches him. Then, in another vlog, following the warning to Budden, among others, Sai used the opportunity to get a little flashy, flaunting a stack of hundreds, his cars, and crib.
Budden obviously saw the vids, and used them as fuel for brand new diss, titled "A Letter TO Saigon," posted on his digital record label Amalgam Digital's website.
On the track, Budden takes aim at the New York emcee.
"Speak my mind, and n****s start feeling a way / Say what I feel, it ain't my fault they feel what I say / Seem like in every interview, n****s wanna mention dude / He took my good punch line and got it misconstrued, ain't diss you then, but now I will / Just saying how I feel," Budden spits.
"Got your camera showing off your tiny town house and your girl gone 'cause you ain't a real star / Not even a World Star / The Greatest Story Ever Told will be never told / Your mixtapes never sold -- I see an insecure n**** trying to prove something / Desperate 'cause his music don't move nothin'," he continues.
Saigon responded in a new interview with Loud.com, accepting Joe's challenge at a battle rap. "I'm no battle rapper, but I'll take this razor blade and run it across your Adam's Apple. But, I'm gonna battle this n****, just to show him that, lyrically, he's not in my league. He never been, never will be," said the rapper.
He also added, "Whenever I see Joe Buddens, I'm beating him up ... I'm beating him up on site."
