Usher's Grape Wine Bar In Atlanta Closes
By Liz "Red" Thomas ♦ Published 01/15/2009

UsherUsher's Atlanta bar, The Grape, has reportedly closed.

According to Bossip.com, the bistro, wine bar and wine retailer has closed its doors, after nearly two years in business.

The Grape at Inman Park did not re-open after the New Year, and did not renew its liquor license with Georgia’s Department of Revenue.

At press time, it was unclear what the reason for the bar's closure was.

The singer opened the franchise in 2006, when he threw a lavish grand opening that drew a-list celebs, reporters, and photographers. At the time, Usher talked of opening several locations internationally, including stores in South America.
