Three artists from different regions of the U.S. will reveal their struggles of rising through the ranks of the industry, via a new straight-to-DVD documentary called "Strictly Business."
The three artists are Huey hailing from the Midwest, Maino from the East Coast, and Glasses Malone from Watts, California.
The DVD will chronicle how each artist rose through the ranks with rhymes and mere ambition, supplying a clear insight to how different each artist's hometown and local artist influences have impacted their own lives and careers.
The trio allied with each other first on Huey's new single "24/7," off his sophomore album Strictly Business, slated for release later this year. The video, inspired by the 1995 movie "Dead Presidents," also featured Larenz Tate, Chris Tucker and Bokeem Woodbine.
"I was interested in this song because it already had the new and hottest artist in the streets from each region. Huey got a nice Midwest following, he already had a top 5 record with 'Pop, Lock, and Drop It,' " said Glasses of the alliance. "Maino had the 'Hi Hater' single that blew everyone's head off. Plus his rep was solid in the streets of NY. I'm considered one of the realest n****s in my region, old or new. Real n****s uniting is always a great look."
