Legendary West Coast vet, DJ Quik, recently announced the introduction of Quik's Groove, a recurring live music series, taking place in Los Angeles, that combines hip-hop and live instrumentation.

Throughout 2009, Quik will be hosting and performing for the series at Los Angeles' popular Key Club venue, located on the legendary Sunset Strip.

On a regular basis, Quik will be joined by an all-star line-up of surprise performers that range from funk to hip-hop to rock.

Quik's Groove is slated to kick off with a special launch party on Saturday, January 31, and will resume March 9th, before contining on the last Sunday of every month throughout the rest of the year.

In addition to the performance series, DJ Quik is also working on a collaborative album with fellow West Coast vet Kurupt. More details on this will come later.
