Lil Wayne returned to the park he played fullback at as a child on Sunday (January 11) to give back.
As a kid, he played football there, and today, it's full of FEMA trailers, and the rapper returned to give back to his community.
According to Nola.com, 26-year-old Lil Wayne contributed $200,000 Sunday, towards educational programs there from his One Family Foundation.
Showing up with an entourage -- that included NBA star Chris Paul -- Lil Wayne grabbed a mic and said a few words.
"The word today and the word forever is 'kids,' " he said.
The Hornets' Paul is paying for repairs at three other city parks.
