Rapper Bizzy Bone, of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony fame, was reported robbed last week (January 5) while in Los Angeles.

According to the LA Times' blog, the rapper (real name: Byron McCane) had returned to his room at the Universal Hilton after eating dinner at a restaurant, when he was confronted by several men who beat and choked him.

During the altercation, Bizzy was robbed of his jewelry, police said.

Police have arrested 30-year-old Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones, a contract employee for the anti-gang organization Unity One, in connection with the robbery, and are also seeking other male and female suspects.

Jones was arrested Friday morning (January 9) after police spotted his vehicle, which was identified as the vehicle used in the crime.

He is being held $1.1 million bail at the Parker Center Jail downtown, and fired from his position at Unity One, reports the L.A. Times.
