 While vacationing in the Caribbean over the holidays, Queen Latifah was the victim of thieves who stoles more than $10,000 in jewelry from her luxury villa.
According to various reports, the Queen was staying at a luxury resort on the island of Tobago, and attended a private bbq brunch. But when she returned, a $10,000 bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring were all missing.
Police were called in shortly after, and believed that the theft was committed by one of the staff members. So far, local police have questioned several employees of Stone Haven Villas, but no arrests have been made.
"Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelry returned to Queen Latifah," Police Commissioner James Philbert told a local paper. "Investigators said the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough."
Latifah said the jewelry holds sentimental value, and is offering a reward for its return.
