Former "American Idol" winner, Fantasia, seems like she's affected by the slumping economy me too, and might lose her North Carolina home.

According to various reports and county records, the singer's upscale home in South Charlotte, N.C. is in the process of foreclosure.

Fantasia purchased the 6,000 sq. ft. home last year for a reported $1.3 million, and now due to unknown reasons, she has been unable to make the mortgage payments and it is set to be auctioned off next month.

If a payment is not received, it goes on the auction block January 12.

However, the singer does have another home in Charlotte on the southeast side, which she bought shortly after being crowned "Idol" winner for $740,000. That home, she's not losing.
