Chicago rapper Common celebrated the debut of a brand new clothing line this week, called Softwear, a collaboration with himself and software giant Microsoft.
The line is 80s-inspired, with typefaces and fonts that Microsoft used in its early years, and also includes a mug shot tee of the company's founder Bill Gates.
"When I wear t-shirts, I want it to look fly, but say something too," Common told AOL's Blackvoices. "So some of the shirts got messages, some of it bring ... all of it got a purpose, all of its got a certain nostalgia of '85 and that era. I really wanted it to be progressive pieces that have purpose."
Items from Softwear line are expected to retail for approximately $32, and will be available in late December at specialty retailers nationwide -- including Union (NYC) Leaders and 1354 (Chicago), Wish (Atlanta), and Major (Washington DC).
