Former hip-hop mogul, Suge Knight, is officially off the hook for an attack on his girlfriend in Las Vegas back in August.
According to the Associated Press, a Las Vegas judge dropped both drug and battery charges, for allegedly beating a woman near the Las Vegas Strip during the morning hours of August 27.
The charges were dismissed because of a "lack of production in discovery and the failure of witnesses to be subpoenaed." However, court records show that the district attorney's office has filed a notice indicating it may try to revive the charges by seeking a grand jury indictment, said Clark County Court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer.
Knight was originally charged with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor battery.
Knight allegedly got into an altercation with his girlfriend while driving near the Las Vegas Strip. The unidentified woman struck Knight, and then grabbed the wheel in an effort to escape. The vehicle hit the curb and came to a stop.
When authorities arrived, Knight was reportedly standing over his longtime girlfriend with a knife in his hand, and took him into custody. During the arrest, cops found ecstasy and hydrocodone in his possession.
