2008-11-27 - I Am ... Sasha FierceA new name graces the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this week. Her name is Sasha Fierce.

Also, know as Beyonce, the singer scored her third straight no. 1 debut with her double-disc effort, I Am ... Sasha Fierce, which almost went gold right off the bat with 482,000 copies sold.

The album's sales, with credits split between Beyonce and her new alter-ego Sasha Fierce, were fueled by hit singles, "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." Her last album, B-Day, started with 541,000 sold, while her debut, Dangerously in Love, opened with just 317,000 units scanned.

That's it for urban releases within the top 10.

Right outside the top tier is T-Pain's Thr33 Ringz, selling almost 62,000 this week to put him at no. 12, while singer Dido -- who rose to the spotlight due to Eminem using her sample on "Stan" -- opens at no. 13 with 51,000 sold of Safe Trip Home.

At no. 14 is T.I.'s Paper Trail, selling just over 50,000 this week, putting his total at over 2.2 million sold domestically.

And to round out the top 20 is John Legend's Evolver, selling nearly 42,000 to put him at no. 18.

As far as new releases, former 112 member Slim released his solo debut, Love's Crazy, which lands at no. 32 with 27,000. And DJ Khaled's protege, Ace Hood, nabbed the no. 36 spot with Gutta, selling 25,000 copies.

A lot later down the list is Lil Keke's Loved By Few, Hated By Many, landing at no. 119 with just 6,000 copies scanned.

According to Billboard.com, sales this week are up 6% from last week, but down 32% from the same week last year (13.96 million), with 9.45 albums sold.
